Love and photography. It all started in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Sofia was studying cinema while Mauro played in a rock band. They met and began taking pictures together, the results of which were published in local magazines. They then flew to Paris where they quickly won the 2002 Picto Prize for young photographers. This led to major exhibitions at the Palais de Tokyo, at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. They take their photos with a distinct style, possessing just the right amount of color, a touch of surrealism, clever references and a perfect sense of dress. It's no surprise that celebrities around the world take pleasure in posing for this couple who currently work for the biggest magazines: Number, The New York Times, The New Yorker, Flair, Vogue ... The "Coco" series in the tub "was featured in" Bible Number "style. The work of Sofia Sanchez and Mauro Mongiello is rich in fantastic references, drawing inspiration from Sir John Everett Millais' painting 'Ophelia' and medieval poetry, as well as more recent works such as Whoopi Goldberg in a bath of milk photographed by Annie Leibovitz and Mena Suvari icon rose-petal mythical scene in the film '' American Beauty ''.
