Eduardo Mac Entyre (February 20, 1929 - May 5, 2014) 1 was an Argentine painter known for his Op-art, particularly his geometric designs, one of the founders of the Generative Art movement.

In 1959 Eduardo Mac Entyre founded the "Generative Art" group with Miguel Ángel Vidal and Ignacio Pirovano. They write the manifesto and set the foundations for the movement to follow. In 1960 the exhibition "Generative Art" was held at the Peuser Gallery in Buenos Aires, Argentina under the auspices of the Museum of Modern Art where they presented the founding manifesto of Generative Art.

Mac Entyre developed his optical approaches from the curve and the use of the compass, forming lines that not only generate shapes but also light.
