Koljo Mishev was born in Strumica, Macedonia (now republic of North Macedonia). In 1986 he graduated the Art Academy in Skopie with speciality Painting. In 1995 he moved to Plovdiv, Bulgaria where he has been living and working ever since. He has over 20 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria, Macedonia ans Slovenia. The most recent is in January 2023 - a jubilee exhibition in the National City Gallery in Plovdiv.
Koljo Mishev has participated in many curators' projects and international group exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad (2008 – Salon D'Automne du Grand Palais de Paris in Sarria-Spain; 1997 - Ljubljana, City Gallery - "12 contemporary Macedonian artists"; 1997 - London, "Riverside Studio" - "Aspects of Contemporary Macedonian Art"; 1996 - Rome, Palazzo Rospoli - "Aspects of Contemporary Macedonian Art"; 1996 - New York, UN - "Macedonian Youth Week" among others...)
His works are owned by the Museum of Contemporary Art in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia, National Gallery - Skopje, City Art Gallery - Plovdiv and many private collections in Bulgaria, Republic of North Macedonia and around the world.
His professional interests are in the fields of painting, mosaics, plastic arts.
