Yann Moisan

I was born on January 22, 1993 in Drancy, I grew up there until I was 5 years old, then I continued my childhood in Brittany where I currently live. After studying art in Nantes between 2012 and 2016 and an important meeting with the painter Marc Chalmes in 2013, I discovered the pictorial universe.

By following his training I was stimulated by the singular expression of light. This meeting offered me a look and a curiosity. I have been striving for years to create my own light, my own atmosphere.

I constantly immerse myself in the masterpieces of the past. Absorbing as much as possible their expressions, the light through the composition, the contrasts, the rhythm and the touch. I may find there a way to express myself closer to my inner self.

The subject is in no way the engine of my expression, but a support to the expression of color also the forms (characters) are only pretexts to the experience of the composition of a colored dialogue to create light and atmosphere. The quest is infinite, and each day, each touch, each canvas is a new stone to this eternal edifice.
