Presentation

Raphael Fenice, a young artist of 26, unveils a first series of surprising works positioning himself at the limit between experience and contemplative work. With the choice of LEDs or neons as materials, his works are lived as an experience. Their light captures us and the impression of infinity amazes us. The young artist is directly in the line of kinetic artists. He combines light and space in the same reflection to redefine the field of vision of the viewer and thus highlight the fallibility of the eye in the face of optical phenomena. Fenice wants to make his art deeply current. This is why he also works with very “pop” motifs such as the Stormtrooper, other figurines or even weapons. Having noted a cyclical return to past trends, these elements are there to remind us of the 80s. What is more, his work leaves the choice to apprehend the pieces as decorative arts or true contemplative works of art. .
