Fanny Bucchiotty's painting is about jungle. Not the one in which elephants are killed but the urban jungle of declining cities we are living in. The underlying theme of consumerism is evidenced by the representation of a heavily made up woman. The painting is a mirror of our society: expensive cars, sexy shapes on high heels, brand illuminated displays.
No blame no shame though, because our society is all about lust and party. Besides, bright colours are used to emphasize joy and the beauty of women, object of desire, in this naïve and decorative narrative figuration.
Fanny Bucchiotty trained with painter Robert Combas but also in Parisian Haute Couture workshops. Urban jungle ambassador, she paints a social dream in which outward signs of wealth mean success.
In her art, women are desirable. Beyond this rendition of the Dolce Vita remains the question of the decline, the lost paradise. Though, Fanny's favourite theme are elephants in the savannah.
