David Roland was born in 1976 in Cholet and currently lives in Maine et Loire.
From his teenage years, David was inspired by pop culture and his entourage to experiment with various techniques. Spontaneously, her canvases become an assemblage of colors and collages, like the quilts of her mother seamstress.
His career then continues at the School of Fine Arts in Angers, where other universes are available to him, which also allows him to define the direction that appeals to him the most, that of glass ... as fascinated by emptiness and transparency. The painting under glass or the fixed-coaster emerges and settles then. Unlike a painting on canvas, David has to rethink all the technical gestures, starting with the details, then the background of his scene where very often Muses and Femmes fatales impose themselves on us.
