Biography
Born in 1974, Vincent Gild is a French painter. He lives and works in Burgundy.
He moved to Paris in 1998 in order to make his sound recording projects with the singer Nicolas Ker, since the artist is mainly a musician, guitarist and studio arranger. He released a single under the direction of Bob Sinclar before giving up everything for painting.
This decision was the result of his collaboration with New Zealand sculptor Marian Foutain, who introduced him to bronze and chemical techniques of platinum. Later on, he turned to painting and experimented with different materials and supports. Influenced by raw art, he quickly developed an abstract style.
In his art, he gets his inspiration from his past as a musician and creates a direct interaction with serial and repetitive music. Vincent Gild 's work is a pictorial representation of power, spontaneity and musical harmonies.
