Damien Naja is a French artist born in 1989. He lives and works in Paris. In 2002, on the threshold of his first step into creation, he was initiated to graffiti. As he was evolving in his practice, he tried to move away from the specific codes of this discipline, to the benefit of a more personal and introspective approach.
He now channels his work towards an aesthetic perception of forms and interlock. Compulsively repeating a geometrical model that is his emblem, he concentrates his researches on declination and reinvention. Seeking for the most perfect combination, he contemplates this goal by only following his own rules. In the appearing chaos of his accumulations, there is in fact a perfect orderly ensemble, where every line, point, shaded zone has a precise place, in a skillfully orchestrated composition.
