Presentation

My work revolves around the living world, changing animal or plant forms. I purify, I mix, transform to recompose characters. In my workshop, a whole series of small and large imaginary beings is born, as a way of giving life to a combination of inert and synthetic materials. I use polyester resins and mastics that I work on for a long time, like a meditation, an incantation to life. Layers overlap, ears grow, horns grow. Everything is curved, every millimeter of this body taking shape is pampered. The sanding becomes caress. I take care of every little being in training as I would a baby. The color is deposited like a skin, uniform and neat, whose monochrome appearance highlights the softness of the shapes. These characters evoke the manga universe, the creatures of Miyazaki, traditional Japanese statuary, like little deities, gentle and sensitive. I also work on large-scale sound installations on the theme of the colonization of spaces in connection with the living. The forms then tend towards abstraction, questioning the viewer about their identity, plunging him into the heart of a mysterious organic atmosphere.
