K-Arty

K-Arty has the habit of taking places in photography on which he adds his personal touch mixing Pop and Street Art. We find cult characters perfectly integrating the space taken in photo.

At 20, he discovered his first images taken with a disposable camera. It was as an autodidact that he was introduced to black and white shooting and development. His tenacity and his desire to continue to learn and to evolve have led him to a professional approach that he will achieve in several stages. Going from shooting in the studio then to reporting for twenty years, and finally leading to a more personal work.

At all stages of the creation of an image, from triggering through processing and up to the last stage: that of its presentation, the image will have woven in filigree all the emotions of its author. K-Arty's works are inspired by a constant quest for renewal, and his experience in shooting and modern techniques have made him evolve into what he calls a “photographist”.

Today, his unique and quirky style skilfully stages comic book characters in abandoned places, mixing humor and derision.

The artist stands out with his favorite theme called “Urbex Cartoon”. The Urbex or urban exploration, allows the artist to discover abandoned places that he takes in photography. On these unretouched photos, he adds Cartoon characters. This is how Jessica Rabbit, Betty Boop, the Simpsons ... have become the friendly ghosts of the tagged wasteland, breathing new life into these places.
