Tanit

Presentation

From Niamey to Paris to Islamabad, Damascus and Tangier, Tanit grew up influenced by countless sounds, lights and colors.
Combining metal, cement, wood, acrylic, resin, its mixed technique, is the fruit of this interbreeding between different cultures.

In this sense, her artistic research aims to restore this feeling of being part of a whole, and yet to be irreparably unique, these immutable and infinite questions about our place in the world, the universe.
The work of matter is done by seeking to imprint motion, light, life, to wrinkle metal, to sublimate concrete, to free oneself from gravity, to allow a play of transparency where the air becomes, itself, a material in its own right.

Thus, like haikus, it is a question of seeking the "right" expression of a feeling, a sound, a smell, a breath, to make perceptible the immaterial, to freeze the ephemeral.

Through works, sometimes figurative, sometimes abstract, the invitation is made for everyone to wonder, to marvel, to indulge in poetic emotions.
