Presentation

Eric Turlot is a French painter.

He studied at the School of Applied Fine Arts in Duperré before joining the School of Fine Arts of Paris. After following artistic courses, he turned to a career in communication. From 1975 to 2005 he skimed the Parisian agencies and went from a graphic designer and writer post to that of creative director.

It was not until 2005 that he decided to dedicate only to art. Eric Turlot then started participating in fairs and exhibited his work in several galleries. Living in Paris, He was passionate about the city and tried to transcribe the voluptous athmosphere present in this city.

His nocturnal landscapes unveil a fight between artificial light and the streets of Paris during the night. Urban paintings that transpire a sort of jazz mood, coming straight out from a movie scene.

The city inspired him daily, although he has his studio in Normandy, it is Paris that makes his art vibrate. He knows how to transcribe the sparkling that is typical of this city and the constant movement of its habitants. Seeing his pieces, we are like behind a veil of condensation, an interpretation of the confrontation between the warmness of Paris and the freshness of the night.

Eric Turlot is known for having won the silver medal from the Academic Society of Art, Sciences and Humanities and the gold medal from the French Merit and Dedication Academic Society.
