Presentation

Eric Roux-Fontaine is a French painter, born in 1966. He currently lives in Rhone-Alpes.After studying at the Fine Arts school, he began a road trip to discover the world. During his long haul, his encounter with gypsies was key.

The journey and all its fantasies were a great source of inspiration for the artist. In his dreamlike paintings, Eric Roux-Fontaine shows great sensitivity and a nomad look, due to his attraction for the beauty he came across, during his travels.

Presented in 2000, during the Turin biennial but also during various Art Fairs (Rotterdam, Dublin…). His paintings were bought by permanent collections at the Paul Dini Museum and the AIB foundation in Ireland. In 2008, the Josep Niebla foundation (Spain) devoted him a retrospective. Works of Eric Roux-Fontaine can also be found in European and American galleries.
