Presentation

Maud Bernos is a French photographer born in Avignon. Adept to travelling, she was initiated to this nomad way of life since a young age by her engineer father whose purpose was to discover the world with his familly. Maud Bernos has lived in Algeria, Senegal, The United Arab Emirates, Barcelona, Soissons, Lyon, Aix en Provence and Paris, where she currently lives.
Always passionate about photography, she decided to immerse in this world and make it her profession during her stay in Barcelona, when she was a bookseller. She then became assistant of photographer Claude Gassian. She also worked for Antoine D'Agata and for Véronique Vial.

Maud currently works for the Peace & Sport Foundation, and travels around the world in search of perfect images. Her personal project "Blue Eyes" consists of a collection of portraits in black and white of the participants of the Vendée Globe. Her solitary journey around the world echoes her passion for travelling. Her photographs pay tribute to the adventurers of modern time, whose courage and desire for freedom do not have limit.
