Blanche Bérat is a graduate in plastic arts from the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design de Reims.
Her work shows a great respect for academic painting. From her training with the painter William MacKendree she has kept the energy of the line. Her innate ability to transcribe emotion and the vivacity of her touch make her paintings touching concentrates of life. The modesty of her choice of subjects seduces: daily life, the French countryside, popular festivals, everything is a pretext for painting. The artist does not seek artifice, nor singularity. Out of the current fashions, she paints simply, with sensitivity.
