Valérie Thielemans

Without academic artistic training, I attended various workshops of drawing, watercolor, painting or linocut. I love cities. I find there a luminous playground, without limits and open to whoever takes the time to abandon himself there. The magic operates then and a second life is offered to the matter. A wall that crumbles, a cement that cracks or a container that rusts lead the mind into a wandering intermingled with dreams. It is these emotions and this poetry inherent to urban landscapes that I try to retranscribe in my paintings.
