I haven't been painting for a long time, but I have always been interested in Art, and artistic expression. I dreamed of making a career in the graphic arts, but everything did not go as planned, my path led me to the IT profession, where I was able to carry out my work, keep my creative spirit.
In 2017, retirement,
I tell myself that this is the right time to start painting, and as life is good, it is precisely there that I meet a painter from Surinam, “Michael Wong Loi Sing”, who will become a friend. He gives me lessons, we exchange a lot and brings me bases of knowledge and reflections.
In 2018, he tells me, you are ready, you can manage on your own.
The adventure of painting begins.
The majority of the paintings are made in acrylic, sometimes with pigments and/or various materials. Today, I most often use an acrylic background and an oil finish.
My expression is mainly translated in an abstract way, although I have made several works on abstract backgrounds, accompanied by some strokes that suggest, faces, profiles or other shapes...
I immerse myself in everything that happens around me, colors, shapes, atmospheres. All these feelings, I will try to translate them on the canvas, with the desire to arouse a similar emotion in the eyes of those who will look at the paintings.
Each canvas is an apprenticeship for oneself and for the technique, an eternal search/discovery.
