Béa Palatinus

Béa Palatinus was born in Kecskemét in Hungary. Attended the University of Pécs where she studied English and Art History between 1991 and 1996.

After an academic training in her hometown, she has turned since 2008 to non-figurative art.

"In many cases," she writes, "I leave without a clear idea. I see my art as intuitive, instinctive and exploratory. I work with a lot of painting, trying to establish a dialogue of colors and details (... ) I like to make fine color transitions, often working in layers, where parts of the underpaint fit into the structure of the next layer. My paintings are very rich in texture and reveal many small details to the viewer when he approaches (...) "
