Clem$ is a modern pop artist, born in 1974. Self-taught, his talents for drawing and caricatures started very early. But pushed by fate, he forsake his pencils for years. He then followed an unconventional journey in electronic musics before returning to his childhood passion and devoting himself entirely to his work.
Fascinated by the work of Andy Warhol, pop art as a whole, street- art, gansta culture, he now paints frantically – as to make up for lost time.It is probably no coincidence that he still draws the heroes and myths of his childhood. Clem$ is an iconoclast artist in the true sense of the word.He is obsessed with popular figures of contemporary society that he likes to pervert. His works shout.
Impregnated with pop and urban culture, they witness – not without humor- a present time with all the good, all the bad, all the futile and excesses. In his composite paintings, yesterday’s heroes meet the icons of today, in a wide riot … of colors.
