Fredrik Netland

I'm a 26 year old artist based in Haugesund on the westcoast of Norway. All my life I had trouble expressing myself through common communication. I had a feeling I didn't belong into this world. For me the "one size" fits all way, didn't fit at all. I had so far in my 25 years of life, struggled with direction. Who to be, where to go. With my view it was hard to be a part of todays societies and its norms. 

When i started painting in 2019 i found a way to express my eccentric feelings and toughts. It was a healing process for me to paint. I could do whatever I wanted and express what i couldn't do with words. I started to express duality, and now I'm trying to unite duality within myself through art. Finaly I found my path and directions. 

I don't have a specific method to my works. I paint and create whatever comes to mind in the moment. I use different tools, and I love variety in style and teqnique. As in life, I need variety in all aspects, and the viewer will see this through my art. I like new ways of thinking, I'm curious and always up for new ideas in teqniques and methods. All of this makes it possible for me improve myself – and makes art happen
