Naqsh Raj has a Master's degree in Fine Arts from the prestigious National College of Arts, Lahore; Pakistan. She taught art at Comsats University, Islamabad for ten years. She currently teaches in the Department of Art and Design at Nottingham Trent International College.
She believes in the close connection between visual aesthetics and ethics, which are in a constant process of reform. Her ongoing works are a combination of mechanical and manual painting methods through a repetitive and mundane technique of making impressions with simple tools. "Conquering" an empty space through tireless effort is her main interest, but also allowing imperfection is a natural part of her current art practice.
