A poetic fusion of nature, identity, and cultural memory in contemporary portraiture
Natasha Lelenco (b. 1983, Moldova) is a contemporary artist based in Spain, known for her figurative and symbolic work exploring themes of identity, migration, and the intersection between nature and human representation.
Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania) and with additional studies in Art History at the UNED (Spain), Lelenco has been dedicated to her professional artistic career since 2017. Her work is often developed in series, where format and concept are intrinsically linked, incorporating repetition as a fundamental element of her artistic language.
Lelenco's paintings blend portraiture with organic and anthropomorphic forms, addressing questions of belonging, cultural memory, and human displacement. Series like and reflect on the fluid nature of identity and value, while delves into the illusion of individuality and the patterns that define us. Her meticulous technique, often using acrylic on wood or canvas, is complemented by experimental approaches such as mixed media and text-based interventions.
Lelenco's pieces are part of private collections worldwide.
