David Vaamonde is a complete artist who alternates different techniques and a wide variety of forms of expression such as sculpture, painting, engraving, collage or digital creation.
He completed his training at the stone sculpture school of Castres, at the engraving school of Montalieu (France), where he apprenticed with Pierre Bourgain, graduate of master Jean Claude Lamborot, and at the famous ESDIP school in Madrid, where he graduated with a Master in digital illustration.
Trained by great masters, David Vaamonde is a great connoisseur and heir to ancestral techniques of sculpture and stone engraving; in each exhibition, he demonstrates his evolution and his ability to transform material into art.
Two decades of creativity and constant dedication to his art prove that David Vaamonde is the perfect example of a classically trained contemporary artist.
Today, David Vaamonde alternates exhibitions and international art fairs, such as those in Milan, Biarritz, Madrid, Barcelona ...
Among his important exhibitions is the project of the famous Foundry Magisa in Madrid, and the competition of "Aleseide Gallery", where his works alongside those of great names in sculpture such as Rafael Canogar, Gerardo Rueda, Pablo Serrano, Eduardo Arroyo…
David Vaamonde was also chosen to create award-giving sculptures such as the Diálogo Spain and Diálogo France awards (received by Mario Vargas Llosa, Zinedine Zidane, Jean-Paul Gaultier ...), the Filaie (Latino artist award), the Clazz Latin Jazz Awards (Jazz Festival), the Guiño Prize (Malaga French Film Festival), the Animal Welfare Prizes of the Veterinary College of Madrid… and the sculpture commissioned by the City of Malaga in homage to Paco de Lucia ...
