Yaman Okur is a French dancer and choreographer of Turkish origin. Specialized in Breakdance, he was crowned world champion in 2001 with his group Wanted Posse (Battle of the Year). During his career, Yaman distinguished himself in the field and collaborated with many international artists including Madonna.
Well anchored in the world of Hip-Hop, and more specifically in the discipline of Breaking, he has distinguished himself by his unique style and his many “signature" movements.
Yaman Okur won first place in the experimental category of the Juste Debout competition in 2007.
He is recognized in the artistic sector for his innate rhythmic qualities, combined with an absolute control of his body, which lead him to win several competitions and dance battles.
At the end of November 2021, Yaman released a book in collaboration with Kong Factory and Paris je t'aime: "Jump for Life", part of the profits of which will be donated to the Abbé Pierre Foundation: 100 unpublished photos in Paris.
He has participated in various TV shows, including recently Le Grand Echiquier (broadcast in December 2021).
