Pamela Enyonu was born in 1985; she is based in Kampala, Uganda. A former advertising director, she has devoted herself to her artistic career since 2017. A visual artist, she uses collage, painting, photography and assemblage. Her work focuses on the politics of identity, trauma and healing.

Pamela Enyonu works on black African femininity, using her personal experiences as raw material. Combining techniques, Pamela Enyonu is inspired by stories and materials, in order to transcribe a new feminist story.

She won the inaugural Makumbya Musoke Art Prize, and has exhibited in Uganda, Congo, Mali, Tanzania, Dubai, Israel and more recently in France as part of Africa 2020.
