Presentation
Stretching from geometric roots and deliberate angles, clashes of color and bands of rich grain find their own way, transforming a once barren wasteland of expression into an abstractly organic landscape stretching with living fingers.
Spanning multiple directions from his experience as a painter and muralist, Human Shaped Animal creates a striking bouquet of multimedia pieces.
By crossing her original creations with digital fabrication and living plants, she has harvested a mind-blowing garden of complex shapes and moving stillness.
Human form animal aka Rachel Barnes currently resides in Santa Cruz, California. After receiving a B.A. in Painting and Digital Design from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania, she moved to upstate New York for some soul-searching.
Soul in hand, it took her a month to travel the country to discover the West Coast for the first time in her adult life.
Completely in love with the ever-changing landscapes and the energy that comes with it, she quickly moved to Santa Cruz, California, in 2016.
When not exploring new expressions of her own ever-changing work, she works in the world as a mural artist and large-scale projects.
