When I first encountered this moment many years ago the majestic oak seemed like a King gazing over his subjects. Sometimes humanity has a way of emulating nature, but never with such dramatic effect.

Artist Statement:

I paint because I must. When I see how the light strikes a particular scene for a brief moment in time, I know, I simply need to paint it. My plein air paintings of landscapes are known for their brilliant colors, extensive texture and fluid motion. I truly enjoy and get inspired by the real beauty of the great outdoors.

As an artist, I believe that my creative force and points of artistic inspiration are a subconscious culmination of the myriad of events, some good, some less so, that life has, thus far, presented me with. I express love and emotion in my art and hope that these sentiments are present to you when you view my artwork. All my paintings are original oil on canvas or panel executed with attention to detail, a swathe of palette knife strokes and brushwork, textured in thick oil.

This style that I called Clear Impressionism is intended to surprise any art lover and create the feeling of serenity and joy. I hope my viewers to experience a sudden connection with my paintings that they never had before and feel a distinct appreciation for the higher quality fine art.

Education:

Getting a personal training and guidance from both of artists parents Ken has expressed the purity of breathtaking execution in all seven disciplines of the body of landscape studies raising the bar to a higher quality fine art.

Ken Halvorsen is an artist whose multi-faceted creative force has manifested itself in the aesthetically focused environment of fine art. Ken has created a series of extraordinary hyper-realistic works and studies in land that realize detail from an almost molecular perspective.

Professional/Teaching Experience:

Centered around the “principle of delicate grace," Halvorsen's creations have earned worldwide recognition among international private collectors and aficionados.
Clear Impressionism Style is now being taught in all classic art school curriculums through out the world.

Artistic Influences:

Born into a family of artists whose wealth was measured in the spirit of love and family unity rather than any form of financial or material value, Ken realized at a very early age that he was a natural artist. He would spend hours in plein-air painting the unforgettable California nature scenes honing his abilities. The nurturing of a latent talent later blossomed as a great passion conjuring the most beautiful of images from paint onto canvas.
