Petr Sladek

Petr Sladek was born in Tchecoslovaquia, country existing from October 28, 1918 until December 1992. Today we have two countries, the Czech Republic and Slovaquia, formerly being part of the Austro-Hungary Empire. The Czech Republic included Bohemia and Moravia. Petr Sladek travelled to France during these difficult historical times and has a show of his prints at the Second Triennale de Gravure de Chamalières Print International Fair in France. His prints on linoleum are very much appreciated by the his very original artistic approach and sensitive sense of humour and beauty.
