Alain Chardon

Born in France, adopted by Barcelona decades ago. Alain Chardon runs his printing atelier, Quadrat 9, located in the Poblenou area. He provides printing services for artists from all over the world. In parallel, he develops his own creative work. He is moved by the matter and texture of paper, often combining various techniques in one piece: collage, xilography, litography. His inspirations are around energy work, meditation, oriental traditions (such as zen), observation of nature and expressing what is around us, visible and invisible, in its purest forms. His art brings peace, inspiration and reflection. In the recent years, both individual and collective exhibitions of his work have taken place in Barcelona, around Spain, France, Germany, Sardinia and Norway.
