Marc Le Devedec

Born in 1957 in Paris, Marc le Devedec has two determining passions in his life: painting and rock music. He entered the School of Applied Arts in 1974 and joined the Mural Art section, driven by the desire to express himself in large format.
At that time, it was the work of the COBRA movement, and more particularly that of Pierre Alechinsky (but also other artists such as Jean Dubuffet, Chaïm Soutine or Egon Schiele), which fascinated him. Later, the discovery of the work and the dazzling life of Jean-Michel Basquiat will overwhelm him.
Diploma in hand, he continues to paint but gradually turns to his other passion: music. He devoted himself to it for nearly a decade, becoming a guitarist and composer. The birth of his daughter requires greater financial stability and he then turns to advertising graphics.
Marc Le Devedec has never stopped painting and cultivating his graphic universe: a pictorial representation of an unreal world, populated by improbable creatures and gazes that are sometimes disturbing but always benevolent. He invites us to play with his poetic imagination, to invent stories and new emotions.
