Presentation

Lady Butterfly is best known for her sculptures in recycled noble materials. From the age of eleven, she threw herself headlong into oil painting, making her own supports and using agricultural materials found on the farm.

She sets off in search of a world beyond suffering, driven by the fundamental question that haunts her then: Why are we here? What is the meaning of life ?

As an adult, her soul is drowning in the abyss of large corporations experimenting with egocentrism, consumption, domination and submission. She loses her passion for life there and takes a radical plunge into the unknown to find it.

From 2005, her creativity came back to her with brilliance, pushing her to create a series of oil paintings on canvas “The light at the end of the tunnel" in which her quest is the excavation of her soul, of her truth.

In 2012, Lady Butterfly catches a glimpse of the sacred when she peers into an industrial waste container full of broken tiles.

From this moment, she transforms recycled noble materials such as glass, ceramics, mirror, to create timeless and durable sculptures through which the sacred can express itself.
