Victoria Curling Eriksson

There is an honesty and naivety found in Victoria Curling Eriksson's painting. Her compositions indulge in complex washes and layering of oil exploring the depth of field present in verdant landscapes. The irregularity and beauty of heathlands and seascapes are sensitively observed with unaffected and modest interpretation.

There is an abundance of meditative qualities which unfold in the simple flat graduations of point-to-point colour divisions found in each composition. Her brushstrokes are visible and undefined, diffusing muted basic colour elements enforcing the minimal approach to her painting.

British born artist Victoria Curling Eriksson has always painted but began to focus on her career as an artist more intensely during the last 17 years. Her move from England to Sweden resulted in further exploration of her artist's education and prolific painting of nature and landscapes that surrounds and inspired her.

Victoria has exhibited extensively throughout Sweden in group and solo exhibitions.
