Born in 1962, Ana Maria Nava is a Venezuelan sculptor. An architect by profession, she decided to dedicate to sculpting glass pieces in 1995. She studied stained glass with artist Mary Bellorin. Later on, she became interested and trained in other techniques, such as blowing glass, and studied at the Pilchuck Glass School.

Ana Maria Nava's glass sculptures have a strong link with architecture. They are imagined in direct relation with a space, and the past of architect of Ana Maria Nava helps her integrate her creations in places that are perfect for them.

Her pieces are present in numerous public places such as in hotels and churches, in Venezuela and New York. Her work has also been the object of numerous solo and group exhibitions and are presented in international fairs. Finally, Ana Maria Nava has been awarded during four editions of the Fire Art Show.
