Presentation

Born in 1968 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Lives and works in Buenos Aires. He studied sculpture in the studio of Miguel Harte, the technique of raku with Alejandra Jones and ironwork and goldsmithing with Claudio Ibanez Menta. He attends the work analysis workshops of Tomás Espina. From 1995 participates in numerous individual and group exhibitions. He approaches sculpture as a ritual that changes with the uncertain practice of doing. He advances in his project through abuse in the process of developing a first idea. He inserts the human figure in structures that oscillate between the architectural and the organic, composing Gothic and anachronistic landscapes. Bodies take movement in reduced-scale scenographies, in a sequence of acts. He uses ancient techniques such as goldsmithing, ironwork and the casting of later polished and patinated metals. These techniques are expressive and functional in the representation of the human body and its metamorphoses. He reformulates fragments of the story from allegorical figures. It is based on the symbolism of supernatural and extraordinary phenomena as an escape from the disbelieving game of everyday life.
