Self-taught photographer, Bernadette Mergaerts finds her inspiration in the snapshot. The fleetingness of the moment allows him to grasp the shape and color of his subject, following a reasoning that is both natural and unconscious. "The square, the square, and the square that is never far away. A square from which cross paths lead to sidewalks dotted with square paving stones. Squares that merge into hidden corners, to offer themselves to unusual forgotten objects with shadows and colored plants. A geographer / photographer who has always dreamed of a square shot. And then a trendy mother who gives her daughter an iPhone. Square framing mode in the streets, "post" mode -prod "relentlessly, always in the street.
