Presentation

Ewa Dziengielewicz has been a photographer for a while, she lived in Poland before moving to Belgium, right after the fall of the Berlin Wall. She initially studied law in Poland and obtained her fine arts diploma in Belgium. Photography became her favorite medium, she began with press photo, photo advertising, private photography, photo reports on baby deliveries. She was able to discover various sectors through her photos: political, architecture, performance, theater...

Ewa Dziengielewciz tries to create perfect art, like a postcard layout and has a sound expertise over technique. She is able to go beyond this impossible quest and depict her unique overlapping style, confronting cultures and creating bold images. The various shades of light guide her work: reflections, the shrinking and dazzling aspects....Her experiments are unsettling but bewitching.

"One believes having understood everything....but in one minute everything changes again and takes us towards a new art object that one tries to freeze. The photo seems to erupt, move vigorously, with varied colors" says the artist.

Ewa Dzjengielewicz received positive criticism and decided to exhibit her work. 2011 onward, she presented her "glass, liquid and light" series. Through this game of reflection, she wants the spectator to become part of this complex relationship between the real experience and reproducing reality. The quest for aestheticism leads us to the unknown through a specter of colors. She leads a dual quest where the spectator is supposed to be immersed in a distant world filled with colors and dreams. A new famous series celebrates dance, freedom and fluidity. Light and music highlight this series wonderfully.
