Born in 1970, Rémi Hamoir is a painter and a French professor.

He studied at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and then began his research on the theme of light and the effect on the atmosphere. This pushed the painter towards watercolors. At the beginning of 2000's, the artist went on a trip to discover Spain. He produced a series on the Catalan coast. When he came back to France, he met Jean Collet and Michele Dutreux who opened the doors of their Agnès B Gallery in 2005 and 2006.At the same time, Rémi Hamoir also exhibited at the Green Flowers gallery of Boulogne Billancourt. In 2010, he left on a scientific expedition called "Tara Oceans" between Dubrovnik and Athens. During this, he painted a series, which recounts the discreet and hidden life of scientists. He was invited by Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani of Qatar in 2011 and began to work on the theme of desert.

While he did his personal work, he taught at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Rueil-Malmaison until 2000. In 2011, he resumed his job as a drawing teacher at Ecole nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs and Ecole de Condé.
