Presentation

Self-taught artist, after years of research, he develops a perfect technique borrowed from the ancients with a subtle mastery of glazes which gives his painting transparency, depth and powerful play of light on the models and figures in daring perspectives with a palette lively and dazzling. His painting is essentially figurative but explores and transcends with finesse the expression of his characters to the limit of destructuring.

Thierry is both a demanding designer and a painter with a lively, powerful, nervous and dynamic palette, he combines the delicacy of the material, the dazzling touch and movement in a living painting that captures us.

Adept of "close up" Intimate close-up framing with strong aesthetic value in the manner of contemporary Chinese artists from Yan Pei-Ming to Ling Jian whose perfect technique is heir to tradition, it is in the art of portraiture where he expresses the power of a gaze, the expressionism of the hands often in the foreground which adds to the perspective of these paintings as with the artist Zhu Yi Yong . Beyond that, the artist questions the living and the link with the decor, the universe, the intrusive light that gives shapes, movements and volumes to the human figure.

His links with Art and the great Masters are numerous, from Basquiat with his feverish gaze which regularly inspires him to Lucian Freud with a detailed and introspective palette, including Picasso of course, but also Hopper and Jeanne Hébuterne with such a tragic destiny, companion and muse of Modigliani, the artist is also imbued with rock, jazz music and poetry, aren't we on the land of Rimbaud in the Ardennes? Clever alchemy, magic ingredients for an impressive work of an emerging painter whose paintings present us with emotion and force the dramaturgy of the human condition.
