Denis Lepage

Born on January 6th 1961, after completing my schooling by obtaining a CAP in cabinet making, I quenched my thirst for general and professional knowledge by attending woodworking professionals.

Employed for thirteen years in a traditional cabinetmaking shop, I created my company in 1991 as a Cabinetmaker - Master Craftsman - Ornamental Sculptor.

In 2012 I am invited to the festival "Les Essenciels de Saint Lô" as a master craftsman. This event organised by the association Essentielle aims to create a link between artists, craftsmen and the young public, in order to shed light on the crafts and to highlight the associative and cultural wealth present in our territory. For my first participation I am creating three artistic works that will find a buyer.

Boosted by this experience, I create sculptures in volume in polyester resin, a modern and refreshing material that allows a great freedom of shapes and colours. I create on clay, I make my moulds in silicone and I adopt the technique of polyester saturated with metal powder such as bronze, brass or aluminium, and with my skill in lacquered finishes, I am autonomous. The use of this technique becomes my trademark and finds its public.
