Presentation
Saori Nakamishi studied aesthetics and art, after she finished her studies she decided to focus all of her talent on creating original illustrations, highly influenced by Manga. She currently lives and works in Japan.
Her work is mainly realistic, yet deeply influenced by manga aesthetics and its topics. In her illustrations, She depicts beautiful and sexy young women, in a Lolita style. Erotic but innocent images of girls, with names like Cherry, Angel, Jewel or Heart surrounded by numerous fantastical creatures or symbols. Saori Nakamishi combines traditional Japanese manga and neo-pop colors in her works.
In 2005, she worked with the artist Hiro Ando to create an studio called "Crazynoodles Studio", dedicated to the promotion of young neo-pop artists inspired by Manga and Kitsch. Today the Studio represents 15 artists and distributes their work everywhere around the world, from Paris to Tokyo with a total freedom of expression. Crazynoodles tries to fight against western, somewhat elitist, art.
