Dananjaya Edirisinghe

Dananjaya is a self-taught metal sculpture artist based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Art has always been his spirit and passion and he continuously experiments each day pushing himself to creative limits. Dananjaya started creating works using scrap metal but quickly evolved to stainless steel as it could be preserved and amplified with natural corrosion.

He was brought up with metal bashing sounds as a part of his childhood, and his professional relationship with sculptures only started to prosper during the past few years. His every experiment with the internal flame has grown more and more towards an unbreakable passion which finally pushed him towards a professional career as a visual artist.

His relentless desire to create and the skills he accumulated have become the framework for his masterpieces. Dananjaya has a special desire for creating conceptual sculptures. Each and every artwork has a beautiful backstory as amazing as the actual sculpture. His ability to create emotions on his human figure metal sculptures continue to amaze collectors.
