Javier Díaz González

I'm a graphic designer and illustrator.

Since childhood, I've had a pencil in my hand, and always, creating. I've published illustrations in fanzines, magazines, newspapers, and comics.

But my relationship with painting comes later, so to speak. After spending a lifetime tempted to jump into watercolor, and having dabbled in the world of photography (winning the worldwide #Flickr12Days 2014 contest), in 2020 I delved into this discipline, which has continued to bring me joy.

I contribute to Malaga magazines, where my illustrations are exhibited, and I also do advertising commissions for shopping centers, as well as doing "live painting" at various events.

My training is entirely self-taught, and I primarily combine classic watercolor with sketchbook-style illustrations, where I use other techniques.

The reason for watercolor and not another discipline is because it evokes, let's say, even melancholic feelings in me. The blending of colors and the ability to evoke without being realistic makes it the medium I enjoy most, and the one to which I dedicate and will dedicate my artistic time.
