The Sète painter André Cervera offers a series entitled "My quarantine journal", or how to better live the confinement thanks to art.
This collection of drawings accompanied by quotes was produced during the 53 days of confinement (i.e. one drawing per day). During this difficult period, it was important for André Cervera to show that ailments can be cured by art and words: “It is a period where we were locked up, but we artists have the used to be in our workshops. Every morning a drawing had to be finished around 11 a.m. This challenge allowed me to forge links with the outside world, to show that art resists everything and that we are alive. Subsequently, the drawings were all posted on the City's social networks, because art is above all about sharing ".
We immediately recognize the artist's talent and originality through his brightly colored drawings, but the accompanying quotes are the result of a collaboration between the painter and his most loyal friends. Among them, Tony Truant, Danielle Le Tellier, Pierre Tilman, Zoom, or even Jean-Luc Parant. These artists contributed to the work of André Cervera by sending him a quote or a maxim every day, which inspired each of his drawings.
Treat yourself to a positive and humorous memory of this very special period, which we could only have lived once in our lives!
