Nicolas Dobkine

Nicolas Dobkine, interested in anthropology and the representation of the human being through the history of art, created a monumental sculpture in aluminum, named "Demiurge" (definition: to be responsible for the creation of the universe).

His vision ? To bring a new artistic conception by densifying the power of expression of figurative art, and this, by the representation of what he calls the Twelve stages of the human condition.

But what are the Twelve Stages of the Human Condition? The series seems to be part of a humanist approach, of re-centralization of Man at the heart of artistic representation.

Nicolas Dobkine combines aesthetics and symbolism through a humanist reflection.

Despite the health crisis, several 'exhibitions' took place in 2020, but in an... atypical way! The artist evolving independently, all means are good to achieve his ends! From a photo studio to a Parisian pop-up gallery, from the Trocadéro esplanade to a swimming pool at a 5-star Relais&Château, passing through the living room of the mythical Château de Ferrieres or even in a forest, Nicolas Dobkine seeks diversity.

With pop culture references such as Daft Punk, Marvel's "Silver Surfer" and the 1927 German Expressionist film "Metropolis" by Fritz Lang. He speaks here of "The transhumanist revolution", nanotechnology and AI which are emerging as the greatest creation of the 21st century.
