Sylvie Delusseau is a painter born in Angouleme in 1970.
She graduated in 1984 from the School of Fine Arts of Toulouse, she currently lives and works in Rio de Janeiro.
Sylvie Delusseau began her artistic career as an illustrator in the field of editing and women's magazines. Later on she turned towards advertising agencies where the artist worked in campaigns for top brands like Dim, Lancôme and L'Oréal.
After several trips to different continents, mainly to Africa, Sylvie Delusseau decided to make several portraits of African dancers and African rituals. Today the artist chooses to focus on nude figures.
Her drawings are sharp and they highlight the different reliefs of a face or a human body, the use of color, black chalk, watercolor or acrylics allows her to externalize the internal pulsations of the canvas.
Sylvie Delusseau has made several collective and personal exhibitions in several countries such as Angola, Nigeria, France, USA and Brazil.
