BIOGRAPHY: LEON Bruno sculptor stainless steel

Born in 1966, Bruno Léon is an artist from Plougonven in Finistère. Since

6 years old, he creates sculptures in steel and stainless steel. His training as a boilermaker allowed him to have an approach to metalworking techniques.

These searches for forms of expression find their source on the ocean side.

It is by giving free rein to his imagination that he draws all these slender and refined shapes before moving on to the realization. He twists, stretches, shapes and straightens precious metals to obtain the desired result, he loves balance, pure lines in movement, harmony and the beauty of the metal he masters.

Bruno Léon carries out his work by hand cold (sports trophies, sculptures for indoors and outdoors, jewelry).

For 2 years now, the artist has had the opportunity to do several exhibitions in the Morlaix basin. One of these led him to receive the first prize from the city of Saint-Pol-de-Léon. Another work, which seduced the elected officials of the city of Plourin-lès-Morlaix, enabled him to make a large sculpture for the inauguration of a public building. Recently, a member of the Sculpteurs de Bretagne association, the artist received the 2019 sculpture fair grand prize awarded by the city of Landivisiau.

In February 2020, one of his works, NONZA, is exhibited at the Grand Palais in Paris, as part of the Salon des Artistes Français, one of the most prestigious French artistic events.
