He was awarded scholarship for creators of art and culture by Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania in 2018. The young-generation Lithuanian sculptor and installation artist. For Kensminas, sculpture is a non-verbal way of telling a complex, multi-layered story. The thematic content for the works is created in an attempt to materialise difficult to describe situations, internal experiences, and the effects of different social and cultural contexts. Kensminas’ installations pieced together from individual elements like a puzzle stimulate the imagination without imposing a single correct interpretation of the work of art. The most recent works of the sculptor are interdisciplinary: the installations are supplemented by text and sound. Short narrations, which are later recorded in an audio format, balance between fiction and recounting of actual events. According to the artist, these are the effects of artistic observation and sensitivity to the environment, the interpretation of actual and fictional stories in literary form. Combination of three equal artistic languages expands the boundaries of perception and experience of art by delving into intuitive cognition.
