Photographes illusions d’optique
Depuis son apparition au 19ème siècle, la photographie a profondément bouleversé notre perception de la réalité. Dans sa quête pour capturer ce qui l'entoure, l'artiste photographe se sert de son appareil photo pour modifier sa propre vision. Et c'est encore plus vrai dans le cas des illusions d'optique. Ainsi le courant particulier de la photographie d'illusion d'optique cherche à montrer une impression d'un objet ou d'un phénomène visible, qui ne correspond pas à la réalité. Une illusion d'optique est toujours photographiée de façon particulière, avec un objectif prédéterminé. Souvent, elle nous incite à regarder de plus près, à examiner la perspective et à surveiller comment l'œil et sa trajectoire sont modelés selon l'intention de l'artiste. Elle permet de donner du volume et de l'expressivité à une image, ainsi qu'une impression de profondeur de l'espace, qui s'étend bien plus loin que les bords de la photographie. Les illusions d'optique sont nombreuses dans le street art. Mêlées à de la photographie, elles se retrouvent dans des œuvres célèbres et monumentales, comme celles de JR. Ses gigantesques collages de photos parsèment le paysage urbain, qu'il s'agisse de photographies en couleur ou en noir et blanc. Vous avez forcément croisé l'une de ses œuvres, immenses tant par leur taille que par leur technique… Charles Pétillon, lui, ajoute dans ses photographies des grappes de ballons blancs, qui permettent au public de redécouvrir le monde qui l'entoure d'un autre œil.
