John3seven was born in 1965 in Cannes, raised in an environment steeped in the art of painting and ceramics. After years spent in New York and Tokyo in the worlds of fashion and television, he returned to live in France.

Largely influenced by the colors, sounds, and landscapes encountered along this journey, his pseudonym is a passage from Scriptures that inspires him, and from which he draws the meaning of a new path. Using abstraction as a medium, disorder becomes ordered through words, which announce the good news.

Painting in action, he fully engages in the creative process, working with diverse materials and employing spontaneous, dynamic, and instinctive gestures. Countless touches of color merge to form a visually complex whole, evoking a distant galaxy or a cell in the throes of mutation. A balance between chaos and order, creativity and rigor. The meticulously worked backgrounds add cosmic depth, suggesting an infinite and mysterious space. Each point of color appears to be in constant motion, creating a hypnotic and captivating dynamic.
